There are many ways to be part of Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ.

You can become a free member, receive our newsletter, volunteer your time or skills, or support our work in other ways. As an incorporated society, we are shaped by our members and guided by the values of connection, respect, lived experience, and mutual support.

Become a Member

Membership of Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ is free.

By becoming a member, you are joining an incorporated society that is independent of medical / mental health and government services and run by a committee elected by our members. Our members help shape our society, guide what we do, and are very important to us.

Our approach makes room for different ways of understanding what is happening, and focuses on support, safety, connection, and hope.

We value lived experience, mutual support, and many different ways of understanding voices, visions, and related expertise. Our membership is made up of people who experience voices & visions & other sensations, whanau, caregivers, mental health professionals and other people in the community

Membership is a way to stay connected, have a voice in the society, and be part of a growing community across Aotearoa New Zealand. We need members to remain an active society connected to those who value our work.

WHAT DO YOU GET AS A MEMBER?

As a member of Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ, you can:

Be part of a community that values respect, confidentiality, and lived experience.
Help to build a community that can make a real difference to people that hear voices.
You will also be added to our mailing list to receive our newsletter for updates about hearing voices groups, events, resources, training, and news from Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ.
Receive a discount for any trainings/ events that have a door fee.
Support our organisation to exist here in NZ.
vote in member matters, have your say on what we do and support the election of the committee

All member details are kept strictly confidential and are not shared with any other person or organisation.

Your information will only be used by Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ for membership administration and, if you choose, to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails at any time.

Once you submit the form, we will add you as a member of Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ.

Our members and supporters are an important part of Hearing Voices Network Aotearoa NZ.

If you would like to volunteer to help in any capacity, we would love to hear from you. You may be able to support events, help us to set up a hearing voices group, assist with social media, administration, fundraising, or other parts of our work.
